Jul 21 2020, 1:05 pm

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement alongside Mississauga mayor Bonnie Crombie on Tuesday.

Ford’s announcement comes one day after the province allowed seven more regions to enter Stage 3 of reopening on Friday, July 24.

But Toronto, Peel, and Windsor-Essex are to remain in the current Stage 2 for at least one more week.

In Stage 3, dine-in restaurants, bars, gyms, fitness centres, live shows, performing arts centres, casinos, concert venues, recreational facilities, team sports, fundraisers, fairs, festivals or open houses, and tour and guide services can reopen.

And, groups of 50 can congregate indoors and 100 can meet outdoors.

Ford and Crombie will be accompanied by Minister of Long-Term Care Merrilee Fullerton and President & CEO of Trillium Health Partners, Michelle DiEmanuele.

The briefing will be held at 1 pm.
