Ford to make announcement as COVID-19 vaccinations increase

Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement on Tuesday afternoon as COVID-19 vaccinations gradually increase across the province.

On Monday morning the province launched its online registration for vaccine appointments for those 80 years and older. The system will allow for vaccination appointments to be booked at mass immunization clinics across the province.

It appeared there were some technical issues with the site, which Ford said he would look into immediately, during a press conference on Monday. However, he noted he was just pleased the site didn’t crash.

Ford will be joined by Ross Romano, Minister of Colleges and Universities, to make an announcement at 1 pm from Queen’s Park.
