Toronto police are warning civilians about an ongoing series of robberies involving food deliveries that have occurred in Scarborough throughout the month.

Since Friday, January 10, the Toronto Police Service has reportedly received multiple calls about food delivery requests to addresses near Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road.

Allegedly, in each case, a group of people wait for the food delivery person at the specified pick-up location. Upon their arrival, the group proceeds to rob the delivery person of the food order before fleeing the area.

In some circumstances, officials say, the group of people made threats towards the delivery person and brandished a weapon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-4200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online, on Facebook, or by texting TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
