15 festive foods to look forward to at Toronto's Holiday Fair in the Square

Fair in the Square, a massive holiday market setting up outside Toronto City Hall will kick off on December 1 and in addition to a winter carnival, holiday shopping, and an ice bar, this holiday market promises plenty of festive foods to eat.

Look forward to a massive two-handed festive feast dubbed Deep Fried Christmas, plus Beavertails, poutine, fudge, and more.

Beavertails

BeaverTails is an iconic Canadian festival vendor that’ll get into the holiday spirit with a menu of deep fried pastries, French fries, poutine, and hot chocolate.

Poutine Supreme

Warm up with a box of hand-cut russet chips loaded with real cheese curds and smothered in rich beef gravy.

Holy Cannoli

Hot chocolate and freshly filled cannoli are the perfect post-ice skating snack, not to mention a gift worthy addition to any holiday table.

DEEP FRIED CHRISTMAS! Start counting the sleeps until this handheld Christmas dinner arrives in Toronto. It’s a crispy fried shelled filled with turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes and served up with a side of gravy for dipping.

Jackson-Triggs Polar Point Bar

Mulled wine, coffees spiked with a splash of Laura Secord Chocolate Liquor with coffee, or the other seasonal refreshments will be on offer at this open-air bar.

Hand-dipped corn dogs, homemade soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, chili, and baked potatoes are all the menu from this festival favourite.

The veggie/vegan hotdog pop-up will be at the fair dishing out fully loaded soy sausages dressed up for the holidays with an array of gourmet toppings.

Get spicy and fill a few stockings with a selection of hot sauces and gourmet preserves made from ingredients sourced from local farms and markets.
