Yorkville's upscale Mediterranean restaurant Estia suddenly shutters

Mar 9 2020, 3:06 pm

Those who prefer to indulge in halloumi, veg, and fresh fish will need to find a new spot to dine, as Yorkville’s Estia has shuttered.

The upscale Mediterranean spot announced the news on Instagram, with a post captioned simply, “Thank you Yorkville for your years of patronage and support.”

Under ICONINK’s umbrella and helmed by Chef Ben Heaton, the space was known for fresh and indulgent flavours like those of beef short rib, lamb chops, calamari, and fine wine. It offered a classy place to pretend you were in warmer climates.

It’s unclear what the next plans are for the venue at 90 Avenue Road, but as soon as we know, you’ll know.

Watch this space.
