Environment Canada issues Special Weather Statement for Toronto

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto on Sunday.

According to the weather agency, Toronto can expect some strong, gusty winds today.

“An Alberta Clipper will bring winds gusting between 60 and 70 km/h beginning this morning. Winds will then strengthen this evening with gusts up to 80 km/h. Winds will diminish Monday morning,” reads the statement.

Sunday is forecasted to be cloudy with showers beginning this morning and ending this afternoon. The high is expected to reach 8°C with temperature falling to 3°C this afternoon.

Environment Canada says a few flurries expected early this evening and ending after midnight, and “local blowing snow” is forecasted this evening and after midnight. The low will be 0°C.

There’s a chance of flurries on Monday, with a high of 6°C expected.

Looking ahead into the first week of November, there is some warmth forecasted ahead, with highs reaching 15°C on Thursday and Friday.
