Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the City of Toronto.
The warning states that significant rainfall will continue tonight.
“Rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are likely by late this evening when the rain is expected to change to snow. Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 10 cm are possible which may lead to untreated roads becoming snow covered and slippery,” it warns.

The weather agency states that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
It’s expected to feel like 0°C in Toronto tonight, before warming up a little on Sunday, but there is a chance of flurries to wrap up the weekend.
