One of televisions most beloved talk-show hosts visited Toronto this weekend, and it was a blast.

Ellen DeGeneres, host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and voice behind Finding Nemo’s Dory, filled the Scotiabank Arena for back-to-back shows on Sunday.

She sat in the stadium-turned-giant-living-room and this time, was on the receiving end of interview questions. The crowd got to learn more about the household name, including how she got her start in comedy and why she loves to scare her guests on screen.

The arena was filled with people for both her 2 pm and 6 pm shows, including a sea of “mompreneurs,” all dressed in pink.

The shows were filled with deep conversation punctuated with images of Ellen’s childhood, which, she said, she honestly barely remembers.

The beloved talk-show host shared inspiring words to the sea of listeners and even her loving wife, Portia de Rossi, popped onto the stage to make a brief appearance.

After which, Ellen could be seen grinning in the direction from which Portia had come.

“I just love seeing her,” she smiled.

There was laughter, there were tears and, of course, to close the show, there was dancing — as only Ellen can do.
