There's a winter patio brunch challenge happening in the Distillery District right now

While many are hiding from these unbelievably cold days, others are choosing to embrace them. And if you’re an embracer and you also love brunch, this new offering from El Catrin is for you.
From now until March 17, the iconic Mexican joint is opening its patio to those looking to combine brunch foods with an adventurous experience.

“Our goal is to give guests a reason to smile and show Mother Nature who’s boss,” says Mathew Rosenblatt, one of the developers of The Distillery District, and the creator of Toronto Light Festival, in a press release.
“During the coldest months of the year, we want to bring people together, celebrate the Canadian winter, and hopefully create some fun memories.”
The reservation-only experience will feature 25 massive heaters, 1 giant fire-pit, lots of serapes (read: blankets) and a 4-course brunch, served exclusively on the patio.

The price is $29, but guests who last the entire meal outdoors will be rewarded with a 50% discount (that’s $14.50!)
