Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid tests positive for coronavirus

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Edmonton Oilers organization confirmed the news on Monday evening, saying that he had undergone testing earlier in the day.

“Since that time, he has been in voluntary self-quarantine at his home,” reads a statement from the team. “He will be monitored and will follow all associated health protocols.”

The Oilers add that he’s “feeling well and is experiencing mild symptoms.”
