This Ontario lookout will have you feeling like the Lion King (PHOTOS)
Sometimes you just want to road trip to a place that’ll make you feel like the Lion King.
You’ll find the perfect opportunity to do just that at Eagles Nest Lookout in Greater Madawaska, a township about 80 kilometres west of Ottawa and a four-hour drive from Toronto.
A short (3km) hike along the Manitou Mountain Trail in the Ottawa Valley will lead you to Eagle’s Nest Lookout, which rewards your effort with some of the most spectacular views you’ll find anywhere in the province.

You can reach the lookout from one of two paths: the intermediate Little Pine Path or a super chill logging road that’s essentially an unpaved county road.
Low risk, high reward – an ideal trek for unseasoned hikers.
