An on-duty Uber driver has been arrested for drug-impaired driving in Oshawa.
According to Durham Regional Police, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at approximately 2:20 am, an officer from Central East observed a black Mazda 5 van on Simcoe Street and William Street in Oshawa.

Police say the vehicle was observed swerving in and out of lanes, at one point driving into oncoming traffic. The driver was stopped and arrested for being “impaired by drug.”
There was a customer in the backseat at the time of the offence, and police say she did not suffer any injuries.

Police charged 36-year-old Mujib Rashidi of Ajax with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – by Drug.
