
A 42-year-old man from Hamilton is in custody and facing charges after motorists caught him dangerously driving on the QEW with the car doors wide open while metal was sticking out the sides of the vehicle last week.
According to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the suspect was identified in the dangerous driving investigation as a result of assistance from the public.

A video of the shocking incident was posted on Facebook by David Fafinski on Thursday, May 2, and it’s already picked up over 232,000 views.
After seeing the video, Halton Police constable Marc Taraso reminded drivers not to do this on social media.
“Please don’t do this… I really hope they got caught,” tweeted Taraso.
