Dogs are allowed to hang with their owners at this brewpub patio

Patios are finally open, Toronto, but your furry friend has gotten so used to hanging out with you 24/7 while you’ve been stuck at home.

While the draw to sunny tables with draught beer is strong, those puppy-dog eyes begging you not to leave might be stronger. Lucky for you, one local brewery has a solution.

Black Lab Brewing is a Toronto brewpub that offers patio seating not only for humans, but for their furry comrades, too.

Open seven days a week from noon to 9 pm, the spot’s beer garden is officially open with safety measures in place, and dogs are allowed so long as they’re on a six-foot leash.

Here are some rules to be aware of if you plan to visit:

  • Order at the Bottle Shop counter (mask required indoors) ⁣⁣
  • No tabs, samples or flights  ⁣⁣
  • Max groups of six ⁣⁣
  • Provide contact information for one person per group ⁣⁣
  • Cash is not accepted at this time ⁣⁣
  • Stay home if you are unwell ⁣⁣

In addition to dogs being welcome, outside food is also permitted, which means homemade sammies or a slice from nearby Descendant Pizza is a go.

The spot currently has a 90-minute time limit in place which, to us, sounds like ample time to enjoy a few while your four-legged BFF soaks up the sun.
