Online platform offering discounted gift cards for local businesses

Many small businesses across Toronto have been forced to slow or completely stop operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

One way to help keep these spots afloat during this trying time is through the purchases of gift cards, which can be used when physical isolation becomes a thing of the past.

Newly-launched online platform  Giftforward.co is offering gift card sales that benefit both the business and the buyer, because cards are sold “on sale.”

The online initiative offers gift cards for popular spots like Love Chix, Fresh, Montesito, Starving Artist, The Good Son, Fahrenheit Coffee, and more, at discounted prices. That means that a $50 credit for The Good Son can be in your pocket for only $40, or $40 for Broadview’s Golden Pizza for only $30.

The service offers a way to support your favourite local spots in a time when you may be watching your wallet more closely, as well.

And finally, the initiative is also continually accepting new small businesses to be involved. If you don’t see your go-to place on the list, you can recommend them here.
