No injuries have been reported following a train derailment in Ajax.
According to the Town of Ajax, several cars were derailed north of Taunton Road between Church Street North and Westney Road North.
“The area has been secured by CP Rail and is expected to remain closed for the next 48 hours,” said the town. “It is not an emergency situation.”

The public will be unable to access Greenwood Conservation Area from Taunton/Church. Access will be via Concession 5 and Church Street North.
