COVID-19 cases identified at three east-end Toronto schools

Toronto Public Health (TPH) has identified COVID-19 cases at three schools in the city’s east end.

On Sunday, TPH said virus cases had been detected at Fraser Mustard Early Learning Academy, St-Michel French Catholic Elementary, and West Hill Collegiate Institute.

Fraser Mustard is located in East York, and St-Michel and West Hill are both in Scarborough.

TPH is working with the schools to notify those who were exposed to the virus, to ensure they stay home and monitor for symptoms.

They added that they are investigating “a number” of other COVID-19 cases in Toronto’s schools.

This isn’t unexpected given COVID-19 continues to circulate in our city and how transmissible the Delta variant is,” the health unit said.

Ontario students returned to the classroom on September 9 for the first time since April.
