As Toronto remains under a freezing rain warning, many colleges and universities are closing campuses this afternoon.
Environment Canada warned early Wednesday morning that ice pellets mixed with freezing rain are expected to persist for much of the day before changing to freezing drizzle late this afternoon or early evening that will persist through tonight and into Thursday morning.

All University of Toronto campuses have been closed. Mississauga cancelled classes all day, Scarborough cancelled all classes after 12 pm, and St. George campus will be closed as of 3 pm.

York University’s Keele and Glendon Campuses will be closed as of 2:30 pm today. All classes and exams cancelled will be rescheduled.

All Humber College campuses and Guelph-Humber were closed at 12:30 pm, Centennial College closed all campuses at 12:30 pm, George Brown cancelled all classes at 1 pm, while Seneca closed all campuses at 1:30 pm.
