Chick-fil-A will open its first ever international outpost in Toronto

Chick-fil-A is coming to Toronto!

The Atlanta-based restaurant chain is best known for its fried chicken sandwiches, biscuits, and waffle fries. The fast-food chain already operates more than 2,300 outlets in the USA.

According to a press release, “the #1 chicken restaurant in the United States, today announced that it will open its doors in Toronto in 2019.”

It will be the first stand-alone outlet outside of the United States – if you don’t count the counter at the Calgary International Airport.

“Toronto is a great city – with diverse and caring people and a vibrant restaurant culture with a deep talent pool,” said Tim Tassopoulos, president and chief operating officer, Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A is plotting a major expansion, the plan is to open 15 stores in Greater Toronto Area in the next five years.
