While it always seems there’s a new themed escape room popping up in the city, one of Toronto’s most iconic sites is actually home to an escape room series, each, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

If you’re looking for a new escape room to experience with your friends or colleagues, Toronto’s Casa Loma has four unique escape experiences set in the historic castle, where brave visitors can step back in time to complete a series of tasks as they attempt to make it out.

While many escape rooms focus on fear and problem solving, Casa Loma’s experiences blend fact with fiction and theatre.

Each escape room is very interactive and participants will engage with a cast of actors and full theatrical production sets, which brings the experience to life.

Whether you want to become a Bootlegging kingpin in the roaring 1920s, escape from the tower by finding the enemy’s U-boat coordinates, or locate a secret hidden in the dark basement of the castle, each experience lasts 60 minutes and gives participants a unique opportunity to explore the mysterious tower and tunnels of the castle.

The Secret of Station House No. 4

Detective Murdoch is missing and as Toronto’s newest constables you’ve been called into action, but the clock is ticking! You only have 60 minutes to save Murdoch. Find clues, piece together the evidence, crack the case and you’ll unravel the Secret of Station House No. 4.

The year is 1941 and your team has been recruited to uncover the Anti-Submarine Detection Research Centre located in the mysterious tower of the castle. Your task is to locate the coordinates of the enemy’s U-boats and share their location with your allies. But you only have 60 minutes to complete the task before it’s too late.

King of the Bootleggers

It’s 1920 and Toronto’s prohibition is at its peak. The bootlegging empire is run by notorious gangster Rocco Perri, but it appears everyone in the city wants to get involved.  Your team is invited to a secret meeting at Rocco’s infamous bar hidden inside Casa Loma. Rocco’s wife has set her sights on her husband’s bootlegging throne and is assembling a gang to take him down and needs your team to help. This is your chance to join the big leagues, but it definitely won’t be easy.

The war is finally over and you think it’s time to celebrate in Toronto. But it turns out beneath the gothic exterior of Casa Loma, there’s a hidden secret. Your team discovers the soon to be decommissioned Station M, which results in one last mission. Be careful who you trust, and make sure you have an escape plan.
