The sports may be the biggest draw at the 2026 Olympic Games, but the food reviews could be a close second.
While the sports world is focused on all the athletes competing in various events, some curiosity about the food in the Olympic village is starting to crop up. After all, Italy is known for its cuisine, so what kind of options are being provided for the athletes to enjoy during their stay?
Canadian Olympic hockey player Natalie Spooner is putting those questions to rest, as she has been going viral over the past week for a series of hilarious food reviews. The 35-year-old has been posting dessert reviews to her TikTok and has garnered over two million views across six videos.
The first review kicked off with a simple chocolate pudding tasting posted last week.
@nataliespooner24 Day 1 in the village! Chocolate monster found chocolate pudding. Pretty standard so Iām hoping for some more Italian desserts in the coming days! Stay tuned. #chocolatemonster #olympics #milan2026 ⬠Memories (Lofi) – Muspace Lofi
That initial video went nuclear on TikTok, garnering an incredible 1.1 million views alone and over 95,000 likes. Spooner dubbed the review series “Spooner’s chocolate monster reviews,” and it doesn’t look like she’s giving up the schtick any time soon.
Since that debut chocolate pudding review, the Canadian hockey star given her thoughts on everything from a chocolate cake and apple tart to a fabled chocolate lava cake. It took her a while to find that lava cake, but when she did, the video did not disappoint.
@nataliespooner24 FINALLY FOUND IT!!! The Chocolate Lava Cake! Chocolate monster couldnāt be happier that it lived up to the hype! And thank you to the server for saving me the last one! šš« #Olympics #milan2026 ⬠Finesse (Remix) [feat. Cardi B] Instru. – Bruno Mars
This wouldn’t be the first time that desserts in the athlete’s village have gone viral at an Olympic Games. Back during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, an athlete made waves online for his affinity for a specific chocolate muffin.
While Spooner will remain on the search for more delicious desserts, her main goal will be helping Canada defend their gold medal in women’s hockey.
