First riders on new Canada's Wonderland roller coaster post terrifying videos
In just four days, the public will finally be able to ride the Yukon Striker, which is the world’s highest and fastest ‘dive’ coaster, at Canada’s Wonderland.
Last week, the amusement park teased the public with a POV video of the new coaster, which dives 90 degrees, 75 metres down, soaring past neighbouring coaster Vortex and hitting a top speed of 130 km/h through a tunnel.
And over the weekend a select group of people were able to ride the coaster ahead of the May 3 opening day, and it’s safe to say from the photos and videos shared online the coaster looks absolutely terrifying.
In case you wanted to get another look at what the coaster is like before testing it out yourself, here are some of the wildest shots of the Yukon Striker on social media.
