Toronto will soon be in full holiday mode, with events like Cavalcade of Lights and the Toronto Christmas Market just around the corner.
And if you’re looking for a new festive display to visit this winter, you should definitely consider paying Burlington a visit.
Every year, the city’s waterfront transforms into a magical winter wonderland during its annual Festival of Lights celebration.

Now in its 24th year, the festival lights up the waterfront from dusk to dawn over the holiday season — making this the city’s longest-running festival.
This year’s festival will feature over 60 displays from Santa’s sleigh to a holiday train set up along the water.
Visitors have the option of wandering through the park with family and friends and seeing the displays up close or get a full view while driving along Lakeshore Road.
This year, the lights festival will officially begin on November 29 with an opening ceremony, where visitors can enjoy live music, carolling, the lighting of the Tree of Hope, hot chocolate and burgers, and a visit from Santa.
The grounds will be illuminated until January 8, so there’s plenty of time to make a visit.
