Winter Wonderland drive-thru coming to the Scarborough Bluffs this month

Nov 5 2020, 6:18 pm

You can explore a kilometre of holiday lights at the Scarborough Bluffs this month as the natural wonder is turned into a festive dreamscape winter wonderland.

The Bluffs Winter Wonderland drive-thru experience is the latest holiday pop up spreading cheer throughout the GTA. The festivities begin November 27 at Bluffer’s Park West.

Winding around the base of the Scarborough Bluffs, the experience will take visitors through a one-kilometre light path, according to the event’s website. Along the way, they’ll pass Reindeer Way, Snowman Alley, and The Enchanted Forest, before ending at Santa’s House for a distanced meet-and-greet with the man in red himself.

A special mailbox “direct to the North Pole,” will be available for kids (or adults) to drop off their holiday wish lists to Santa Clause – and he’ll even write back. By turning their car’s radio to 107.5 FM, guests can hear all their favourite holiday tunes as they drive through the Winter Wonderland.

Guests must remain in their vehicles the whole time. Limos, buses, vans, and pick-up trucks larger than a 150/1500 model are not permitted.

According to the event’s website, the experience is completely contactless, making it a COVID-19-friendly alternative to sitting on Santa’s knee.
