Once you pass Spadina Ave heading eastbound on Front Street today, the next intersection you’ll be waiting at is Front Street and Blue Jays Way Raptors Way.
In the spirit of tonight’s potentially championship-winning game against the Golden State Warriors, someone, it is unclear who, has changed the Blue Jays Way street signs to Raptors Way, according to photographs submitted to Daily Hive.
Allegra Wiesenfeld, who submitted the photos, said that “two huge fans” decided to change the street signs temporarily using paper and tape, to give our basketball heroes “some last minute support.”
It’s not yet clear how long the street signs will stay that way before someone decides to change them back — if they decide to at all.
Who knows? Maybe the Raptors have earned themselves a permanent spot in a few Toronto intersections.
