The Toronto Blue Jays have rounded out their coaching staff.

The club announced three more hires today: Lou Iannotti as the assistant hitting coach, Graham Johnson as the bullpen coach, and Sam Greene as the assistant pitching coach.

Ianotti, who won two World Series rings with the Los Angeles Dodgers over the past few seasons, was previously reported to be joining the Blue Jays earlier this month. He worked as a hitting coordinator with his previous team and has now been promoted to assistant hitting coach.

Johnson joins the Blue Jays as a bullpen coach. He’s spent the last three years with the New York Yankees’ AAA team as a pitching coach. Before that, he worked inside the Houston Astros organization.

Last but not least, the 27-year-old Greene has already been working with the Blue Jays since 2021 but now has a new role. He’s been involved in the research and development departments and will take on a new challenge as the assistant pitching coach. Greene was a college pitcher himself, spending four years at McGill University in Montreal.

With these three hires, the club has confirmed its 2025 coaching staff. John Schneider is once again leading the way as manager, with 11 others working alongside him.

The Blue Jays finished last in the AL East last year with a 74-88 record. They had a -72 run differential, the fourth-worst in the entire American League.

The team hasn’t only hired new coaches, they’ve also acquired some new players across this winter. They pulled off a trade to bring in former All-Star Andrés Giménez from the Cleveland Guardians and have signed some depth players.

With the mixture of new coaches and new players, the Blue Jays are hoping for different results next year. The first spring training game is scheduled for February 22.
