If you hadn’tĀ already circled dates on your calendar for Toronto Blue Jays games to attend in 2020, you just got 50 more reasons to visit Rogers Centre this summer.

At long last, the club released its regular season promotional schedule, which features giveaways or special events during 50 home games on the Blue Jays schedule.

Who doesn’t love a good giveaway? The Blue Jays have plenty of them this year, which is a combination of traditional ballpark promotions (bobbleheads), to some unconventional giveaways (like a Peanuts bobblehead).

This news arrives just a few days before Blue Jays single game tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday at 10 am ET. There are plenty of highlights from the Blue Jays’ 2020 giveaway schedule.

Player bobbleheads

The Blue Jays will run four player bobblehead promotions throughout the 2020 season, highlighted by a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. bobblehead game on March 28. It even includes a built-in counter for fans to keep track of Vladdy’s home runs throughout the season (he slugged 91 home runs total during the 2019 Home Run Derby, by the way).

Also available this season is a Cavan Biggio “Hit for the Cycle” bobblehead on May 18 to celebrate the third cycle in Blue Jays history, a Vladimir Guerrero Sr./Jr. bobblehead on Canada Day, and a Bo Bichette “Bo Flow” bobblehead on August 3 which spotlights Bichette’s signature long locks.

Player-themed giveaways

Additional player-themed giveaways include Hyun-Jin Ryu replica jerseys on June 26, Randal Grichuk powder blue replica jerseys on July 31, and special Ryu designed Blue Jays caps on August 29.

In the “offbeat” giveaway category, fans can take home a Lourdes Gurriel Jr. pineapple Hawaiian shirt on June 6, and a Blue Jays “Friends” t-shirt for “Sitcom Night” on July 17.

All-new specialty tickets

All new for the 2020 season, the Blue Jays introduce several specialty tickets where fans who purchase seats to the game automatically receive a limited edition giveaway. “Yoga Night at the Ballpark” is the first, which includes a free yoga mat and a yoga session on the Rogers Centre field on April 11.

There’s also a “Hello Kitty Day” on May 2 which includes a Hello Kitty bobblehead, “Peanuts Day” on September 5 which includes a special Snoopy and Woodstock bobblehead, and “University & College Night” on September 18 where students receive a free Blue Jays cap with their school’s logo.

Returning favourites in 2020

Promotions making a return for the 2020 campaign include “Loonie Dogs Night” during every Tuesday home game, and Jr. Jays Sundays every Sunday afternoon home game at the Rogers Centre.

The Blue Jays go country once again on May 23 for “Country Day” with an army green hat giveaway, “Pride Night” returns on June 4 with a rainbow towel giveaway, and Blue Jays fans will enjoy “Star Wars Day” on August 15, where force-sensitive fans can take home a Chewbacca messenger bag.
