Jun 2 2020, 5:29 pm

To aid Toronto’s Black community members who have been affected by COVID-19, Afri-Can FoodBasket and partners have launched Black Food Toronto.

The organization is working with Black Food Sovereignty, Ankobea Inc., and the City of Toronto to raise money that will provide “emergency food support to individuals and families within the African, Caribbean, Black community in Toronto” who have been impacted by the pandemic.

Community members who are in need of support accessing food are encouraged to complete this application, and visit the Black Food Toronto website to learn more.

Individuals looking to offer financial support to this initiative can do so here.

Donations of $25, $50, and $100 denominations are readily prepared, or you can opt to offer a different amount of your choosing.
