Imagine trying to escape from evil forces in a sleepy village from the 1800s.
It may sound like a scene from a horror movie, but it is also the newest attraction at Black Creek Pioneer Village.
The quaint working village is will be hosting Where the Dark Things Dwell all summer long.
The escape-themed game will test the endurance and intelligence of players who must solve puzzles and challenges in order to escape the curse that has overtaken the village.
Up to 10 teams of 6 will set out into the village at dusk to see if they are able to make it out alive in 90 minutes.
“Stopping in the sleepy village of Black Creek for a night’s rest, you and your fellow travellers find yourselves trapped as strange cultists work to awaken an ancient evil force,” write Secret City Adventures, the company putting together Where the Dark Things Dwell.
“Now it’s up to you to stop the cultists’ curse. You must save the remaining villagers and discover the great incantation to stop the evil from rising and escape the village before the final bell tolls.”
If escape rooms are your thing, Black Creek Pioneer Village is taking it to another level.
