The Beer Store to begin testing home delivery in Scarborough

Last June, The Beer Store launched their e-commerce site, Beer Xpress, which essentially meant you could order on the go and pick up your beer as soon as you walked through the doors.

Now, a year later, The Beer Store wants to simply bring your beer directly to you. And their first two test markets are Scarborough and Ottawa, both of which will offer same-day home delivery, with a targeted two-hour delivery window.

“Home delivery is a natural evolution of our Beer Xpress program and we look forward to bringing it to Ottawa and Scarborough for the pilot,” said Beer Store president, Ted Moroz. “The areas were selected based on a number of criteria including market demand and the number of stores in their delivery footprint.”

The Beer Store has more than 800 brands, all of which will be available for the home delivery service. According to a release, they are using the new pilot project to make it easier for those in Ottawa to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

Customers in the designated delivery area can order directly from beerxpress.ca. You must create an account to do so or sign in with either Facebook or Google.
