Man wanted after allegedly violently attacking woman in her apartment

The Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating Samuel Smith, a man wanted for attempted murder after he reportedly “violently attacked” a woman in her apartment.

On February 14, at approximately 1:30 pm police responded to a violent assault in the West Road and Oak Street area.

According to the police, the man broke into an apartment and assaulted a woman — both allegedly know each other. After the attack he fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Smith, 24, is wanted for:

  1. Attempted murder
  2. Aggravated assault
  3. Threaten death
  4. Break and enter
  5. Unlawfully in a dwelling-house
  6. Mischief under $5,000
  7. Fail to comply probation
  8. Breach of recognizance

Smith is described as 6’2, 160-170 Ibs., with short black hair, brown eyes and has a scar on his left cheek.

The police advise to not approach Smith if he is seen and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
