Sure, you’ve heard of the waterfall an hour or so from Toronto.
You know, that little one we like to call Niagara Falls. Well, it’s great and all (like, World Wonder, great) but sometimes we want to cruise out of the city for an adventure that’s a little less overrun with tourists.

Besides that, if we’re going to go to a waterfall, you better be damn sure we want to dip our heads under it (definitely not something we recommend at Niagara). Which is why, if you haven’t already heard of it, Spencer Gorge/Webster Falls Conservation Area is the perfect weekend – or weeknight – escape.
Just 75 kms from Toronto, and a scant 20 kms from Hamilton, this waterfall definitely deserves an afternoon chill session.
So grab a few friends and hit the road. And as an added bonus, you’ll also find Tew Falls (a 41m ribbon waterfall) an easy 30-minute hike away from Webster Falls.
So you might say you’re getting a Tew for one here…
