In October, Hamilton broke records in Toronto, months before its Canadian debut.
At its peak sale time, about 30,000 theatre fans were on Mirvish’s website trying to snag tickets to the hottest show in 2020.
And for fans still looking, David Mirvish announced on Tuesday that more tickets are now available for the popular theatrical performance.
Ticket prices range from $50 to $275 and are available for performances from February 11 to May 17, 2020.
If you’re okay with more last minute options, Mirvish did confirm that Hamilton has a tradition of offering a daily digital lottery for seats at $10 each. Details about this opportunity will be announced closer to the start of performances.
And Mirvish is reminding the public to avoid fraudulent tickets.
“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can. There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets,” said Jeffrey Seller. “For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Toronto engagement should be made through Mirvish.com.”
According to Mirvish’s John Karastamatis, Hamilton broke the one-day sales record for any show at any Mirvish theatre since the Mirvish family began working in the business in 1963.
Karastamatis told Daily Hive that on Saturday, October 26, the show sold more than 44,000 pre-sale tickets, compared to the previous record which was 13,000 sold in one day.
