We’re always curious to know what our Raptors alumni are up to these days, and Muggsy Bogues is making us proud. The legendary point guard helped take the Raptors to their first playoff series during his NBA career, and since retiring, he has continued to support non-profit programs, recently launching a storybook in partnership with GoDaddy Canada.
Inspired by his kids and grandkids, A Raptor Tale is about what he calls the greatest tale ever — the Raptors journey from outsiders to world champions, with the mascot taking centre stage, of course.
All proceeds raised from the sale of the book benefit the MLSE Foundation, which helps empower youth through sports and recreation.
With the help of GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing product, 54-year-old Bogues is sharing news of his book online so he can spread the story far and wide. It’s a prime example of how entrepreneurs of any age can get their business online, launch an online store, and create a buzz with their audience.
Fun fact: this isn’t the first time GoDaddy has partnered with the Toronto Raptors — they’ve had three successful campaigns: Jonas Valanciunas’ Itty Bitty Ballers action figures, a music website for the launch of Norman Powell’s single “No Problem,” and CJ Miles’ Raptors–inspired sleepwear.
With GoDaddy Website + Marketing, anyone can use the easy Website Builder tool to design a professional-looking website on any device — even right from your smartphone (no joke). Whether you’re a beauty technician or an accountant, there are pre-designed templates waiting in the gallery for you, with more than 1,500 ideas to choose from.
This means you can have an almost-ready-to-publish website with relevant sections and placeholders for images created in no time. All you have to do is input the information you want to showcase and you’re set; that’s why it’s effective for tech novices and those who want to get online efficiently.
Now you can celebrate GoDaddy’s latest partnership with the Toronto Raptors by entering the contest below for your chance to win a signed copy of Bogues’ new storybook.
