21-year-old dead, 15-year-old injured after daytime shooting in downtown Toronto

A 21-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after a daytime shooting in downtown Toronto on Tuesday afternoon.

Toronto Police also said that a 15-year-old boy and 27-year-old woman were injured in the shooting, but both are expected to recover.

On Tuesday, police reported various callers heard multiple gunshots being heard.

Police also said there were reports of people screaming and running. 

Officers later confirmed that a firearm had been recovered with the police “setting up for an emergency run” and “confirming” information on the alleged suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
