One male and one female are suffering “life threatening” injuries after a daytime shooting downtown Toronto on Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto police first reported the incident around 4:16 pm, saying the shooting took place at King Street West and Peter Street.
Police say various callers reported multiple gunshots being heard.

Police also said there were reports of people screaming and running.
An update confirmed that there are two shooting victims, one male and one female, with Toronto Medics reporting that the “injuries are life-threatening.”
A firearm has been recovered with the police “setting up for an emergency run” and “confirming” information on the alleged suspect.
