A 14-year-old boy was found dead in the area of Truscott Drive and Southdown Road in Mississauga on Friday morning, Peel Regional Police say.

Officers located the boy’s body just before 8 am, police say.
Police confirmed that the death is a homicide, and investigators are now on the scene.

Police say Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are currently investigating.
Earlier, police said the slain boy was 13. Investigators later corrected his age to 14.
Correction: the victim is a 14 year-old boy.
