12 celebrities to try and spot in Toronto this June

Is there anything better than a celebrity sighting?! The hustle and bustle, fans screaming their name, trying to sneak a quick pic, or if you’re lucky enough maybe even an autograph.

With plenty of movies and TV shows currently in production in Toronto, you just never know when you might spot your favourite actor or actress off-set, roaming the streets of our city.

Here are 12 celebrity faces to try and spot in Toronto this June.

Sarah Rafferty

Sarah Rafferty will be in Toronto through this month for her role in the ninth and final season of Suits. Rafferty has made small appearances in shows like Law & OrderBones, and Numb3rs before going on to star in Suits as Donna Roberta Paulsen.

Gabriel Macht

Also joining Rafferty on the set of Suits is Gabriel Macht, who plays lead character Harvey Specter in the series. Rumour has it that these two Suits stars have been best friends for over 25 years after they met at a film festival!

Minka Kelly

Minka Kelly will be in Toronto for her role in the second season of the series Titans. Kelly got her first major role as Lyla on the hit television series Friday Night Lights, and then went on to star in feature films like The Roommate, 500 days of Summer, and Just Go With It.

Eugene Levy

If your lucky enough, the hilarious Eugene Levy may be spotted in Toronto this June. Levy is currently filming for the sixth and final season of the hit show Schitt’s Creek alongside his son Daniel Levy, who also plays Levy’s child in the show. From Hamilton, Ontario, Levy is best known for starring in all eight of the American Pie films and his groundbreaking work as part of Second City.

Catherine O’Hara

Joining Levy on the set of Schitt’s Creek is actress, writer, and comedian Catherine O’Hara. O’Hara has starred in many movies from Heartburn alongside Meryl Streep, to the voice of Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas, or maybe you remember her best as Kevin McCallister’s mom in the Home Alone films.

Chace Crawford

Best known for his portrayal of Nate Archibald on The CW’s Gossip Girl series, Chace Crawford may be spotted in Toronto this June for his latest role in the superhero drama series The Boys which is filming for its second season.

Movies and TV shows filming

Also joining Crawford on the set of The Boys is New Zealand actor Karl Urban. You may remember him as Leonard McCoy in the Star Trek reboot film series, or as Éomer from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Brendan Fraser may be spotted in town this month filming for the second season of Condor. Fraser is typically recognized for his early roles in movies like The Mummy trilogy, and George of the Jungle, along with most recently starring in TV series like Trust and DC Universe’s Doom Patrol.
