However, police say Lu has not been located.

On Tuesday, March 26, investigators arrested a 35-year-old Toronto man who is believed to be involved in the kidnapping of Lu.

Police say the suspect’s name will not be released at this time as he has not been charged as of yet.

“York Regional Police is dedicating every available resource to this investigation as we continue to fear for the well-being of Mr. Lu,” reads a statement from York police.

The investigation is also supported by Special Services, Emergency Response, Canine, Air Support and the Forensic Identification Units, whose members have been working around the clock since Lu was kidnapped.

Police are urging the suspects to release Lu unharmed and to seek legal counsel and turn themselves in.
