The Woodland Park Zoo is returning to seasonal hours beginning September 8.

Through April 28, the zoo will open at 9:30 am and close at 4 pm daily.

Zoo-goers, including members, will need to reserve an entrance time online and can enjoy the day until the zoo closes.

Guests will be required to wear face coverings and keep six feet of distance between themselves and other groups at all times. The zoo is also implementing a one-way path within the property.

High-touch fixtures such as drinking fountains and close animal encounters will be unavailable, while indoor areas and keeper talks including the Family Farm, Zoomazium, Tropical Rain Forest, Historic Carousel, Willawong Station, Bug World, Molbak’s Butterfly Garden, Temperate Wetlands, and all playgrounds and mother’s and nursing rooms will remain closed to the public.

Those interested in visiting the zoo must agree to participate in King County’s contact tracing initiative, and have their contact information shared with public health officials if guests are exposed to COVID-19.

Tickets to the zoo can be purchased online starting June 22, for time slots between 9:30 and 6 pm daily. Adult tickets for those aged 13 to 64 are $22.95, seniors 65+ are $20.95, children three to twelve are $13.95, while those up to two years of age can enter free.

Starting October 1, the Woodland Park Zoo will offer reduced admission.
