Go on a virtual lunch date with the Woodland Park Zoo animals

Apr 3 2020, 9:29 pm

We hope you’re not busy on Tuesday at 2 pm — you’ve got a date scheduled with an animal at the Woodland Park Zoo.

You’re invited to join an animal keeper and their animal buddy as they answer fan questions, share fun facts, and of course, chow down on some tasty snacks.

The Super Snack Time with Woodland Park Zoo presented by Key Bank will be streamed live on Facebook every Tuesday, beginning April 7.

If you’re lucky, you may even be able to see one of the Zoo’s newest editions, a baby gorilla and red-rumped agoutis.

Because of the current pandemic, the Woodland Park Zoo has been closed to the public since March 12.

Although the animal organization had previously mentioned that it had been planning ahead for the animals in its care, the extension of the zoo closure is strongly impacting their monthly revenue.

As a way of raising money for the animals, the zoo has created the Woodland Park Zoo Relief Fund and is asking the community for their donations and support.

Those looking to help can donate money online, either one-time or through recurring payments. The money raised will go directly towards the nearly 1,000 animals at the zoo.
