Washington State University announced on Friday, that during the COVID-19 pandemic, all students will receive the option of replacing their letter grades with a pass or fail for all Spring 2020 courses.

The new option will require instructors to assign a final letter grade (A-F) to their students, which will then be converted by WSU to pass or fail marks.

This new option is only available for undergraduate students taking undergraduate courses and can be applied to as many Spring 2020 courses as desired.

Those looking to change their grades to pass/fail will have to do so through an online form by June 1, 2020.

Students are strongly advised to check in with their advisors before changing the way that their courses are being graded.
