Washington State Ferries fares are decreasing this week

Sep 28 2020, 5:56 pm

Those who frequently drive onto Washington State Ferries will notice a decrease in fares starting October 1.

The fare decrease is due to the removal of peak season surcharge, which is only in effect during the busiest months of the year, May to September.

In addition to the fare changes, the reservation no-show fee will be reinstated on the first day of October.

The no-show fees were suspended at the onset of the pandemic but have since been adjusted as remote working systems now have the ability to process refunds from telework locations.

The no-show reservation fees will go back into effect with new modifications beginning Thursday.
