Washington reports close to 1,400 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll remains at 4,316 after announcing that due to processing issues, deaths were not updated on February 2.

According to the Washington State Department of Health website, there have been 1,357 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the past 24 hours.

Negative test results data from November 21-30, 2020, and January 5 through today, are incomplete. Thus, negative test results and percent positivity should be interpreted with caution.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 314,692 with 736 current hospitalizations, 89 of whom are intubated.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 457,856.
