Washington confirms nine more coronavirus deaths as cases near 30,000

The Washington government revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,293 after announcing nine more deaths since Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 483 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 29,869, with 26 additional hospitalizations.

Currently, 465,768 tests (approximately 94% of all coronavirus tests in the state) have turned up negative.

The death toll in Washington State now sits at 1,293.
