Washington reports close to 500 new coronavirus cases for second day in a row

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,953 after announcing eight more deaths since Thursday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 479 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 76,335, with 293 current hospitalizations, 48 of which are intubated.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 192,012.
