Washington confirms six more coronavirus deaths as cases near 29,000

The Washington government revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,276 after announcing six more deaths since Sunday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 190 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 28,870, with 204 hospitalizations, 37 of which are intubated.

Currently, 448,334 tests (approximately 94% of all coronavirus tests in the state) have turned up negative.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 2,387,236.
