The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll is 4,065 after announcing 125 new deaths since Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health website, there have been 2070 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the past 24 hours.

Negative test results data from November 21-30, 2020, and from January 2 through today, are incomplete. Thus, the number of negative test results and percent positivity should be interpreted with caution. The high number of new deaths is due to a data processing backlog cleared today from January 14-20, 2021.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 296,087 with 847 current hospitalizations, 80 of whom are intubated.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 420,028.
