Washington confirms over 700 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,624 after announcing five more deaths since Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 705 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 60,084 with 426 current hospitalizations, 58 of which are intubated.

The Department of Health has not disclosed how many tests have been administered in the past 24 hours.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 161,560.
