The Fremont Sunday Market returns on September 6

The Fremont Sunday Market will be returning this Sunday, so mark your calendars, but don’t go too crazy.

The market is set to open from 10 am to 3 pm on September 6 and will enforce new guidelines to both vendors and shoppers.

“We also want to share that we [love] our community and want to protect you while you’re at our open air marketplace,” said an Instagram post from Fremont Sunday Market.

The market will feature new foot traffic patterns, rules, and a modified layout with gated entry to control the capacity of those entering and exiting.

Shoppers are asked to not touch the products, as all handling should be by vendors and staff. Market visitors must also maintain six feet of space at all times and avoid touching things whenever possible. They are also urged to use the provided hand sanitizer and hand-wash stations that will be scattered around the market and vendor booths.

Organizers are asking that shoppers make lists and designate only two shoppers per household — not including children under the age of 12.

The market will not be serving prepared food or food trucks this weekend but will be offering meal kit options and pre-packaged foods.
